One can point out why the Teachers of Knowledge experienced such suffering on departing Earth.  Of course, this suffering was conscious and voluntary.  As the host fills the cup to the brim, so does the Teacher desire to impress this last sign of His Covenant.
This kind of suffering is nothing like what most people experience.  These were Lives lived to the full in continual selfless giving.  Their dedication created a great river of life and momentum of the truth of meaning in the hearts of those around them.  Their essence, in which they learned to trust explicitly and obediently, their own angel, whose  voice they heard and eventually followed, led them into the path which represents the necessary attainments in order to be able to graduate from earth existence, to transcend it, leave it behind and never need to repeat it.

Each great Teacher has a Covenant.  Each great Epoch is designed to deliver a new step for humanity.  He or She has a compact with life, makes a transaction in trust, a treaty with all, a new arrangement and bargain. He or She earns the necessary papers, declares the truth, enters into contract with that truth, lives a vow, undertakes for Himself or Herself and pledges everything to the cause.  The Christ is quoted as saying that He merely copied his Father.

The exploits of heroes did not occur in a void but after many lives and years of preparation.  Of course the Christ had to travel the world and learn great things that others did not know and then put them into practice.  I this way He integrated East and West, and the Teacher will again integrate all things
